Upscale Steakhouse Steak 48 Plans New Dallas Restaurant as City Attracts More Luxury Dining Concepts
Upscale steakhouse chain Steak 48 is planning a new Dallas restaurant, adding another luxury dining concept to a city already known for its robust steakhouse scene.
A permit filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows plans for a full-service Steak 48 restaurant at 4829 McKinney Avenue in North Dallas. The estimated construction cost is approximately $4.07 million.
A Large New Steakhouse
The new restaurant will span approximately 16,200 square feet, making it the chain's largest location. Construction is expected to start in January 2027 and finish in December of that year, according to the project filing.
Steak 48 has not officially announced the Dallas location, but the state permit signals that plans are moving forward.
Prime Steak Concepts
Steak 48 is one of six restaurant concepts under Prime Steak Concepts, an Arizona-based hospitality group. The chain operates six steakhouse locations across the United States. Once open, the Dallas restaurant will mark the brand's second Texas location.
The company's existing Texas restaurant is in Houston's River Oaks district at 4444 Westheimer Road. That two-level, 13,700-square-foot location opened in June 2016.
Dallas's Competitive Steakhouse Market
The Dallas-Fort Worth area is home to roughly 100 steakhouses, making it one of the most competitive upscale dining markets in Texas. The planned Steak 48 adds another contender to a field that includes both national chains and local institutions.
The McKinney Avenue corridor, located in the Uptown and Oak Lawn area, has become a destination for upscale dining and nightlife, making it a natural fit for an expansion-minded luxury brand.
